I am trying to be as ‘green’ as possible while decorating my house. In addition, I love the look of textured, natural stuff. I looked at the sisal and bamboo rugs, but with small children on the floor all the time – they just are too rough. Is there anything else out there?

my basement isnt finished, but I want to turn it into a hangout area for me and my friends. I am going to put a huge rug on the floor, but what are some other ways to make it seems more like a room.

by wall less i mean that other than the 4 outer walls, it has rooms that dont have walls, so you see the gym from the main room, and there are no doors connecting the “rooms”, only the door posts.
